The Maritime Republic of Eastport Tug of War
This annual event kicks off every year at the “crack of noon.” One of the quirkiest events in Annapolis, the Tug of War is an over-the-water endurance event with teams of no more than 33 tuggers on each side (Eastport and Annapolis) pulling on a specially made rope that is extended over the Annapolis Harbor in as many as seven heats or tugs.
Fuel up before the event with a hearty breakfast from Main & Market. Then you will have to face the tough decision: Eastport or Annapolis?
